About Dr. Jean Wagner

Jean Wagner has an undergraduate degree in Honors Biology from the University of Michigan – Flint.  She worked five years in a cancer research laboratory in Detroit, Michigan before returning to school for Naturopathic Medicine.  Dr. Wagner is a graduate of a four year doctoral program in Naturopathic Medicine from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon.

 

This college is the oldest accredited school of naturopathic medicine in the United States – established in 1956. This program consists of standard medical training in such areas as anatomy, physiology, histology, and clinical diagnosis as well as extensive training in nutrition, herbal medicine, homeopathy and other nature based healing systems.

 

Dr. Wagner has completed and passed the national board exams for naturopathic practitioners and has been practicing Naturopathic Medicine since 1999.  The state of Michigan does not recognize license Naturopathic practitioners, so most major insurance companies do not cover services.  Dr. Wagner is covered by NGS CoreSource supplementary insurance as well as most Health Savings Accounts.  Check with your insurance company for more information on coverage.
